„What are you going to do after the art academy, sell paintings on the street?!“

This is a sentence that wounded me. In the school my talent for art was discovered but my parents opposed this fate and sent me to study economics. Since then I have been on a journey home, my true home being in the world of art.

I clearly remember the very first time I touched the canvas. I started to laugh and cry. At that moment I was not lost anymore. I feel at home with each brushstroke every time I paint. In front of the easel I am on my journey. I am floating on river of emotions, impressions and sensations. The texture of the paint, the trace of the brushstrokes, the touch to the canvas and the harmony of the colors are my way to communicate.

Just like the river flows through different terrains and unknown territories to reach the sea, my paintings portray transformations from finely painted realistic landscapes and still life to rough, thick, briefly finished self-portraits with deep conceptual content.

I believe that painting is a movement and perception to express emotions, to touch deeply, to open hidden doors, to let laugh and cry.
